TLA advises on Zaatar w Zeit Saudi expansion

June 4, 2012

Dubai, June 2012. The law firm of Tribonian Law Advisors (TLA) announced that it represented Cravia Holding, a UAE based company and parent company of the highly popular franchises of Cinnabon, Seattle’s Best Coffee and Zaatar w Zeit in its joint venture with Saudi Arabia’s Rawabet Al Oukhouwa company (part of the Al Rajhi Group) to expand the Zaatar w Zeit franchise into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The agreement will result in the establishment of Saudi Arabia’s Wraps Arabia, which will be responsible for Zaatar w Zeit entry, growth and expansion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The strategic partnership kicks off immediately with the opening in September in Al-Tahlia Street, Riyadh, of what will be the largest Zaatar w Zeit outlet in the world. Cravia Holding CEO Walid Hajj said: “Building on the enormous success we have enjoyed in the UAE over the last decade, we are now ready to take our brands further afield. As the largest market in the region, our entry into Saudi Arabia represents immense growth potential, which we hope to achieve through our partnership with one of the most respected companies in the Kingdom and indeed the whole region.” After the debut of Zaatar w Zeit in Riyadh, the company will embark on an aggressive expansion plan with 57 additional outlets scheduled to be opened over the next few years.

The TLA team was led by managing partner Rindala Beydoun who was assisted by associates Lina Charbel, Roula Khaled and Jihad Harfouche. Speaking about the law firm, Mr. Hajj said: “We have enjoyed working with Rindala Beydoun and TLA on this transaction. The firm’s services and quality of work were quite impressive. The team was highly responsive and worked hard to meet our deadlines.”
